Founding Software Engineer (Full-Time)

The Role:

As our official first full-time hire, you’ll work directly with the CEO & CTO to bring Accelerant’s vision to life. You’ll architect systems, write code, ship features, and shape the future of both the product, and company.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building scalable infrastructure to ingest and transform data from CRMs, support tools, and product platforms (think Salesforce, Zendesk, NetSuite, Gong, etc.)

  • Implementing ML models that surface early churn signals and explain their underlying risk factors

  • Designing and deploying a secure, multi-tenant backend (Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS)

  • Establishing engineering best practices for code quality, observability, and deployment

Who We’re Looking For

This isn’t a typical engineering role. You’ll be building alongside the founders, owning critical product decisions, and shaping both the codebase and the company culture.

You might be a fit if you:

  • Have 2–7 years of full-stack experience (or equivalent projects that prove it)

  • Have experience building/working with with AI/ML models

  • Are deeply comfortable with APIs, ETL pipelines, and structured/unstructured data

  • Are excited about startup chaos and ambiguity… you figure things out without being told

  • Care about shipping fast but clean, scalable, and maintainable systems

  • Are obsessed with user empathy and making complex systems simple to use
